Lymphatic Drainage

Manual lymphatic drainage is a type of gentle massage which is intended to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back towards the heart. The lymph system depends on the movement of skeletal muscles to propel lymph through the vessels to lymph nodes. Manual lymph drainage uses a small amount of pressure and rhythmic circular movements to stimulate lymph flow. It can be used to assist cleansing of the body, but is more commonly used in the recovery of lymphodema.

Lymphatic Drainage can also help any swollen area due to illness, injury or congestion.
